Revised manuscript resubmission
Before uploading a revised version, authors must ensure that the revised manuscript has been prepared using the appropriate journal submission template and that all required sections and statements are present and correctly placed.
For Minor revision or Major revision, authors must resubmit the revision through the online submission system within the timeframe stated in the decision letter.
The resubmission must include:
-
Revised Full manuscript (clean version): a complete revised manuscript (including the Title page) with all revisions incorporated. All changes compared with the previous version should be clearly marked in green (text color).
-
Revised Blinded manuscript (clean version): the same revised manuscript with all author identifiers removed, suitable for rereview. All changes compared with the previous version should be clearly marked in green (text color).
-
Rebuttal letter (response to reviewer’s): a separate document providing a structured, point-by-point response to the editor and each reviewer. Please find template entitled “Rebuttal letter template”) on website.

If authors disagree with a reviewer comment, they must provide a clear scientific justification and, where appropriate, supporting references.
When revisions affect compliance (ethical approvals/consent, trial registration, systematic review protocol registration, reporting checklists, data availability), the relevant statements and documentation must be updated prior to resubmission.
Incomplete resubmissions (missing rebuttal letter, missing required files, incomplete anonymisation, or unclear marking of changes) may be returned to authors for completion before further editorial assessment.
