Medicinski Glasnik (Med Glas Zenica) is a peer-reviewed, open-access medical journal published biannually since 2004 by the Medical Association of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It publishes original research across all medical fields under a CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license. Each article is assigned a DOI.

Submission Checklist

Core submission requirements

  •        A Full manuscript file (Word), including the Title page as the first page
  •        A Blinded manuscript file (Word) with no author identifiers (for double-blind review)
  •        A cover letter confirming article type, authors’ approval, originality, and any prior posting (for example, a preprint)
  •        ORCID iDs for all authors (must be provided on the Title page and in the submission metadata)
  •        A manuscript prepared using the journal’s submission template (available for download on the journal website)
  •        Required registrations where applicable (clinical trials; systematic review protocols)
  •        Required reporting documentation where applicable (PRISMA/CONSORT/CARE, etc.)
  •        Figures uploaded as separate high-quality files (when applicable) and compliant with image integrity rules
  •        Supplementary files were required or applicable (data, code, protocols, extended methods)

Peer Review

This journal operates a double-anonymous, peer review policy.

Licences

The following licences are allowed:

  • CC BY-NC-ND 4.0
    Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use. NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes. NoDerivatives — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material. No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.

Publication Fees

Article Processing Charges (APCs) are billed only after a manuscript has been accepted.

Members of the Medical Association of Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) are exempt from paying the APC. A discount may be granted to parties that have a valid agreement with the Medical Association of Zenica-Doboj Canton, B&H. APC waivers may be considered based on an invitation from the Editor-in-Chief.

Publication Cycle

This journal is published continuously. Articles are released as Accepted Author Versions as soon as they are accepted. Final, formatted articles are then collected into issues published biannually in February and August. This model ensures research is available as quickly as possible.
