About Medicinski Glasnik

Medicinski Glasnik, abbr. Med Glas (Zenica) is a peer-reviewed, open-access medical journal published by the Medical Association of Zenica-Doboj Canton (Bosnia and Herzegovina). The journal was established in 2004 and is published twice per year.

Medicinski Glasnik welcomes manuscripts reporting original basic and applied research across all fields of medicine, spanning clinical practice and basic medical sciences. All content is freely available online under a Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, and each published article receives a DOI to support persistent identification and reliable citation.

Focus and Scope

Medicinski Glasnik welcomes submissions from researchers and clinicians worldwide and aims to publish methodologically rigorous, scientifically sound work that advances medical knowledge and practice. The journal considers for publication original research articles, review articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and case reports accompanied by a systematic literature review, as well as other scholarly contributions spanning the full spectrum of biomedical and clinical disciplines, with an emphasis on clarity, research integrity, and relevance to contemporary medicine.

Medicinski Glasnik is committed to editorial quality, research integrity, and visibility of published work, and it continuously strengthens its presence in international discovery systems to ensure that articles are widely accessible, searchable, and citable. In addition to publishing papers online with persistent identifiers (DOIs), the journal emphasizes broad dissemination through major biomedical databases and scholarly search platforms.
